Bronx Stand Up!!!
The young Latino DJ duo from the Bronx, The Martinez Brothers, Chris and Steve, has been rocking dance floors all over the world for more than a decade. That means Christian, now 21, was in High School, and Stevie Jr., 25, who was then a freshman in college, were too young to drink and dance in clubs. Yet, under their father’s supervision they kept djing at electronic dance clubs all over New York City. During the summer school breaks they would head to Europe to showcase what two kids from the Bronx can do.

Now, these talented heartthrobs have taken a step up from clubs to festivals and carnivals. The Martinez Brothers will add the Electronic Daisy Carnival to their long resume of accomplishments. They’ll also showcase their own grooves for music lovers at the festivals, which has been selling fast and by the bunches on Beatport, a dance music store.
The popular electronic music magazine, MixMag, wrote on youtube that “The Martinez Brothers… Chris and Steve are two of the freshest sounding DJs/producers to emerge from the Bronx in recent years. With a musical upbringing courtesy of the likes of Timmy Regisford at Shelter NYC and Masters at Work, Kerri Chandler and Dennis Ferrer, they’ve continued the legacy of soulful, funk fuelled and what many would call ‘proper’ house music…”
