Showtek tops Beatport’s Top 5.

1.   Showtek, the electronic dance duo of Dutch brothers, Sjoerd and Wouter Janssen, has catapulted “We Like To Party” (Original Mix) to number one. The exclusive Beatport single, released by their own record label, Skink, remains number one in the second week of  2014.

2.  Number two is Oliver Heldens’ “Gecko” (Original Mix). The Deep House single, released by Tiesto’s record label, Musical Freedom, continues to showcase one of Netherlands’ rising star. As of date, “Gecko” has close to 123,000 plays and over 9,000 likes on Soundcloud.

 

3.  Of course, once the legendary Fatboy Slim releases a song, the best of the best will remix the heck out of his tunes. Holding the third spot is  “Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat” (Dimitri Vega, Like Mike, and Ummet Ozcan Tomorrowland Remix). I don’t think Tomorrowland will ever be the same… in a good way.

 

4.  I don’t know how this collaboration happened, but I hope it happens again. Hard Rock Sofa and the beautiful Eva Shaw’s “Get Down” (Original Mix) is rocking clubs all over the U.S and Europe. Which proves Spinnin Records‘ progressive house single created by a Dutch Canadian and two Russians that we all can get along in this beautiful world.

 

5.   Another Beatport exclusive hits the top charts with Blasterjaxx’s “Mystica” (Original Mix). This single proves the progressive house duo from Netherlands, Thom Jongkind and Idir Makhlaf, are going to have an amazing 2014.
